Vera van Hoeven

Vera van Hoeven is a Research Scientist in Biology and Translational Sciences at Acerta Pharma B.V. since October 2019, overseeing the Translational Sciences team responsible for processing and analyzing human samples from oncology clinical trials. Previously, Vera served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at AMC - Academic Medical Center from February 2015 to October 2019, studying the role of innate lymphoid cells and immune reconstitution post-hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Vera's research includes extensive flow cytometric analyses and supervision of PhD students. Vera completed a PhD in Immunology at Utrecht University, where the focus was on lymphocyte dynamics in health and lymphopenic conditions. Earlier research experience includes internships at the Burnet Institute and UMC Utrecht, contributing to studies on HIV and tumor-associated antigens. Education includes a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Utrecht University and VWO from Grotius College.
