Jonas Goldin Diness

Director, Non-Clinical Development at Acesion Pharma

Jonas Goldin Diness has a long and varied career in the pharmaceutical and research industries. Jonas began their career in 2007 as a Research Assistant and Master Student at the University of Copenhagen. In 2008, they became a PhD student at NeuroSearch A/S. In 2011, they joined Acesion Pharma as a Director of Non-Clinical Development, a Principal Scientist of in vivo pharmacology, a Senior Research Scientist, a Research Scientist, and an Industrial Post. Doc. During this time, they set up and worked extensively with advanced models of atrial fibrillation in large animals with long-term tachypacing of the atria to induce electrical and structural remodeling, in order to test potential anti-AF compounds. In 2012, they became a Postdoctoral fellow at Institut Cardiologie de Montréal, where they were a visiting scientist at Dr. Stanley Nattel's laboratory. In 2013 and 2014, they were a Member of the Board for the Industrial Postdoc and PhD Associations, respectively.

Jonas Goldin Diness began their education at Teglmoseskolen, followed by Holsbjergskolen from 1989 to 1994. Jonas then attended Rødovre Gymnasium from 1994 to 1997. After that, they attended Danmarks Farmaceutiske Universitet from 2002 to 2007, where they received an MSc in Pharm. Jonas continued their education at the University of Copenhagen (Medicine) from 2008 to 2011, where they matriculated as an industrial Ph.D student in Pharmaceutical sciences. From 2013 to 2014, they attended Harvard Business School for the Pasteur Talent Workshop Series. Finally, in 2015, they attended Harvard Business School for the Pasteur Program.
