Sofia Hammami Bomholtz

Sofia Hammami Bomholtz is a highly skilled Senior Research Scientist at Acesion Pharma since June 2013, focusing on in vitro studies related to atrial fibrillation treatment and optimizing ion channel assays. Simultaneously, Sofia has served as a Research Scientist at the University of Copenhagen since September 2012, investigating TRPM7's role in cardiac fibrosis and conducting various electrophysiological and molecular experiments. Previous experience includes roles at Lundbeck and NeuroSearch, where Sofia contributed to NMDA-receptor studies and electrophysiological characterization of SK channels, respectively. Sofia holds a PhD in Science from the University of Copenhagen, specializing in ion channel regulation, and has been involved in teaching and supervising students throughout the academic career. Educational qualifications also include a Master’s degree in Biology from the University of Copenhagen and various international studies.
