Geoffrey Arnold has worked in a variety of roles since 2009. In 2009, they began working at Judson University Library as a Circulation Manager, where they were responsible for budgeting supply and employee budget, training new employees, teaching seminars on library operations, and restructuring interlibrary processing. In 2014, they took on two roles: a Teacher at Alexander County Prison and a Case Manager Intern at Volunteers of America, where they worked with veterans in transitional housing to aid them in locating sustainable housing and work. In 2015, they took on an Administrative Intern role at Duke Perkins Library. In 2016, they became a Professional Services Support Engineer II at Aceyus and a Rubyist-in-training at The Iron Yard.

Geoffrey Arnold attended Judson University from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Theirtory and Theology. Geoffrey then attended Duke University from 2012 to 2015, where they earned a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) in Theology, Critical Race Theory, Gender Studies, and Postcolonial Studies. In 2016, they attended The Iron Yard to study Computer Programming.
