Roger Lawrence possesses extensive experience in public service, research, and community engagement. Currently serving as Chair at HIMILO TRAINING CENTRE LTD, Roger supports refugee and migrant communities with employment training and entrepreneurship initiatives. As an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Wolverhampton and a Board Trustee for West Midlands Urban Community Housing, Roger contributes to academic and housing development projects. In governance roles, Roger has held significant positions such as Vice President of ALDA and was previously a Lead Member for Rail and Metro at the Transport Delivery Committee TfWM. With a long tenure as a Councillor and Leader at City of Wolverhampton Council, combined with roles in various transport and local government organizations, Roger’s educational background includes multiple degrees from prestigious institutions including the University of Bristol and University of Cambridge.
