Katy Newton

Katy Newton has a strong background in the field of immunology and process development. Katy has held various positions throughout their career, starting in 2005 as a Post Doctoral Scientist at the UCL Institute of Child Health. In 2007, they joined Cell Medica as the Manager of Immunotherapy products and services, where they worked until 2016. At Cell Medica, Katy was responsible for overseeing the development and management of immunotherapy products and services. In 2016, they joined Achilles Therapeutics plc as the Vice President of Process Development, a role they held until 2022. Katy was then promoted to the position of Senior Vice President of Immunology and Process Development at Achilles Therapeutics plc.

Katy Newton completed a BSc in Biochemistry with Applied Molecular Biology from The University of Manchester from 1998 to 2001. Katy then pursued a PhD in Immune responses to viruses and vaccines at UCL from 2001 to 2005.
