Laura Barrow

Laura Barrow has over 30 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Laura has held various leadership positions in companies such as Achillion Pharmaceuticals, Purdue Pharma L.P., Synergy Pharmaceuticals, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Bristol Myers Squibb, and Hoffmann-La Roche.

In their most recent role at Achillion Pharmaceuticals, Laura served as the Vice President and Head of Clinical Operations and Project Management.

Prior to that, at Purdue Pharma L.P., they were the Head of Program Management for Late Phase Assets, where they managed the lead asset in insomnia and improved the relationship with alliance partners.

During their time at Synergy Pharmaceuticals, Laura held the positions of Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations and Vice President of Clinical Operations. Laura successfully delivered an NDA program and built an efficient clinical operations department.

Laura also worked at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals as the Worldwide Head of Standard Operating Procedures, where they revised the SOP system and maintained compliance with GCP regulations.

At Bristol Myers Squibb, Laura served as the Executive Director of Organizational Effectiveness, Executive Director of Project Planning, and Group Director of Project Planning and Management. Laura managed project planning and governance for exploratory development, as well as portfolio analysis and strategic planning.

Laura's career started at Hoffmann-La Roche, where they worked as a Clinical Coordinator and established the first Pharm.D. Fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology.

Laura Barrow completed their primary education at Sewanhaka High School from 1974 to 1977, earning a diploma with a focus on General Studies. Laura then attended St. John's University from 1977 to 1984, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Pharmacy. During their time at St. John's University, they also pursued a Pharm.D degree in Clinical Pharmacology, which they completed in 1984. Additionally, Laura Barrow was involved in a Roche-Rutger's Pharm.D Fellowship at Rutgers University, but specific dates for this experience are not provided.
