Eddy Chan

Eddy Chan has a range of work experience in the insurance and consulting industries. Eddy is currently working as the Lead Pricing & Analysis - Property Insurance at Achmea since June 2021. Prior to that, they were a Senior Non-life Pricing Actuary at a.s.r. for eight years, where they were responsible for pricing various types of insurance and providing strategic advice to senior management. Before joining a.s.r., Eddy worked as an Actuary at AEGON for four years. Eddy also has experience outside the insurance industry as the Chairman of JONC, a Dutch Chinese youth organization, where they focused on promoting cultural exchange and knowledge sharing among Chinese descendants in the Netherlands. Eddy's early career involved working as a Consultant at Towers Perrin Tillinghast.

Eddy Chan completed a Bsc in Actuarial Science at the University of Amsterdam from 2000 to 2003, followed by an Msc in Actuarial Science at the same university from 2003 to 2004. Eddy then pursued further education at the Actuarieel Instituut, obtaining a degree in AAG (chartered actuary in the Netherlands) from 2004 to 2007. In 2011, Eddy completed a certification program in Certified Enterprise Risk Actuary (CERA) with a focus on Risk Management at the Actuarieel Instituut.
