Michiel Heijstek

Michiel Heijstek has over 28 years of experience in various managerial and project roles at Achmea, serving as a Change Manager and Senior Project Manager since September 1995, where responsibilities include translating IT and business change requests for effective execution. Previous roles at Achmea include Project Manager focused on product and process development, as well as overseeing integration with SAP. Additionally, Michiel has served as a Reserve Officer in the Royal Netherlands Air Force since January 2000 and held the position of Project Control at Centrumplan Doorwerth from 2015 to 2018, leading a community initiative for a local center project. Earlier career experience includes diverse positions in business functions at Interpolis from 1995 to 2008, including team management in income insurance and various roles in life and agriculture insurance. Michiel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Inholland University of Applied Sciences and attended Ichthus HEAO and ISES.
