Wim van Straten

Wim van Straten is an experienced insurance professional with a career spanning several prestigious firms. Currently serving as an Insurance Risk Manager and Actuary at Achmea since September 2009, Wim has held various roles including Consulting Actuary and Senior Actuary. Previously, experience includes a Manager/Actuary position at Ernst & Young from April 2007 to September 2009, and a Product Lifecycle Manager role at AXA from April 2004 to April 2007. Early career experience includes managerial responsibilities at Fortis ASR/Stad Rotterdam Verzekeringen from August 1994 to April 2004. Academically, Wim holds a CERA in Risk Management from the Actuarieel Instituut (2011), a Master of Science in Insurance Studies from the University of Amsterdam (2010), an AAG designation from the Actuarieel Instituut (2006), and attended Eindhoven University of Technology (1991-1994).
