Erez Cohen

Erez Cohen, PhD, is an experienced researcher and educator with a diverse background in sociology, anthropology, and media studies. Currently serving as a researcher at Appleseeds since August 2023, Erez Cohen also holds a position in the Metadata Unit at the Israel Central Bureau of Statistics since June 2019. Erez Cohen has been a lecturer at The Open University of Israel, Ben Gurion University, Achva Academic Campus, and several other institutions since 2009, specializing in courses such as Introduction to Anthropology, Media, Risk and Disasters, and Internet Society. Erez Cohen completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Anthropology at the University of Adelaide, following a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Tel Aviv University. Prior research experience includes a postdoctoral position at La Trobe University, focusing on media studies, risk communication, and methodologies involving qualitative research methods.
