Michael Mastropietro has a diverse work experience in the field of specialty materials, additive manufacturing, and research. Michael currently holds the position of CTO and Director of R&D at ACI Materials, where they are primarily responsible for directing product formulation research and development. Previously, they worked as a Senior Engineering Manager at NextFlex, managing printing and additive processing systems. Michael also served as a Senior Scientist at NovaCentrix, where they developed conductive inks and processing methods for additive manufacturing. Prior to that, they were the Co-founder and Director of R&D at PChem Associates Inc, responsible for creating silver nanoparticle chemistry and ink formulation technologies. Michael started their career as a Research Associate at Parelec Inc., working on developing metallo-organic/particle hybrid functional inks and coatings. Michael also gained research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at Penn State University Materials Research Institute, focusing on the synthesis and analysis of metallic nanoparticles.
Michael Mastropietro began their education in 1994 at Penn State University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. Michael successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 1998. Motivated to further expand their knowledge in the field, Michael then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at the same university. Michael graduated with their master's degree in 2000.
