Elaine Florimonte

Elaine Florimonte is an experienced Teaching Artist at Fairfax County Public Schools since August 1996, where creative problem-solving and innovation are emphasized to inspire students aged 14-18 in visual arts and 21st Century skills. In addition, Elaine serves as an Educational Travel Leader for ACIS Educational Tours since March 2001, specializing in art-focused international travel for small groups. As a Fine Artist, Elaine has operated Florimonte Studios LLC since December 1993, and previously instructed courses at the Smithsonian Institute for young children, blending current exhibitions with creative projects. Elaine also held a position as Resident Director at Radford University from August 1993 to May 1995 and holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Two Dimensional Media and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Art Education, both from Radford University.
