Rob Schlotthauer

Rob Schlotthauer is an experienced Principal Design Assurance Engineer specializing in risk management and human factors at ACIST Medical Systems, a position held since August 2017. Previously, at Proto Labs from April 2015 to August 2017, Rob implemented continuous improvement initiatives that resulted in a 50% reduction in customer complaints within a year. As a Principal Quality Engineer and Risk Management Coach at American Medical Systems from October 2011 to April 2015, Rob developed a quantitative risk management system for the entire product lifecycle. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Staff Scientist in Quality Assurance at Beckman Coulter, where responsibilities encompassed supporting manufacturing quality for high-revenue immunoassay reagent production lines and leading teams to enhance testing methods. Rob holds a degree in Chemistry from Carleton College.
