Margot Weinshel

Margot Weinshel has extensive experience in psychotherapy and education, with over four decades in private practice, providing individual and couple's therapy, specializing in infertility. Since July 2000, Margot serves as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at NYU Medical School, teaching family therapy to third-year residents and psychology interns using a one-way mirror technique. Additionally, Margot has been an Adjunct Faculty member at the Ackerman Institute for the Family since September 1978, focusing on family therapy education. Margot also played an integral role in the Mental Health Professional Group of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine as a representative from 2008 to 2010, enhancing membership engagement and facilitating networking opportunities. Margot's early career included the role of Director of an Outpatient Clinic at South Beach Psychiatric Center from 1975 to 1977. Educational qualifications include an M.S.W. in Social Work from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
