Melissa Slabbaert

Melissa Slabbaert is a seasoned sustainability expert currently employed at Ackermans & van Haaren since September 2023. Previously, Melissa held key positions at DEEP C Industrial Zones Vietnam from May 2018 to September 2023, serving as the Head of QHSE & Sustainability and leading DEEP C Blue, which focuses on water supply and wastewater treatment. Prior experience includes roles as a Junior and Trainee Consultant at Sertius Environmental and Safety Services from July 2013 to May 2018, and as a Master Thesis Student at the Laboratory of Microbial Ecology and Technology (LabMET) from August 2012 to June 2013. Melissa's educational background includes degrees in Bioscience Engineering with a focus on Environmental Technology from Ghent University, along with a recent certification in Sustainability Management from Vlerick Business School.
