Sydney Young is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in community engagement and social justice. Currently serving as a Community Engagement Restorative Justice Fellow and Complaint Intake Counselor at the ACLU of Missouri since April 2022, Sydney has a strong focus on civic engagement and voting rights through work as a Community Engagement Fellow with Scholar Strategy Network at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Sydney's prior roles include Direct Support Professional at Community Living, Inc., Production Team Member at True Manufacturing, and Addiction Recovery Coach at The Aviary Recovery Center. Additionally, experience as a Deputy Juvenile Officer and Youth Leader in Greene County, Missouri, demonstrates a commitment to youth advocacy. Sydney holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and is pursuing a PhD in Political Science at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, alongside a Master of Science in Political Science and Government.
