The Legal and Advocacy Team at the ACLU of North Carolina is responsible for upholding civil liberties through legal action and advocacy efforts. They work collaboratively to investigate and litigate cases related to individual rights, provide legal counsel on policy issues, and engage in lobbying to influence legislation. By addressing critical issues such as racial justice, LGBTQ rights, and voting access, this team aims to protect and expand the freedoms guaranteed by the state and federal constitutions.
