Tammerlin Drummond is currently the Principal Communications Strategist at the ACLU of Northern California, where responsibilities include developing and leading strategic communications to amplify civil rights messages and prepare team members for media engagements. Drummond's previous roles at ACLU included Senior Communications Strategist and Communications Strategist, contributing to litigation messaging and public education on historical injustices. Prior to joining ACLU, Drummond was a reporter and columnist for the Bay Area News Group, earning accolades such as a Pulitzer Prize and a Sigma Delta Chi Award for impactful commentary. Additional experience includes being an editorial writer, journalism instructor, and roles at Time Magazine. Drummond holds a Bachelor of Arts in French Studies from Smith College and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, complemented by further education from Harvard University and the KALW Audio Academy.
