David Carey

David Carey currently serves as the Deputy Legal Director at the ACLU of Ohio, a position held since September 2018. Prior to this role, David worked as an Associate at Thompson Hine LLP from July 2012 to August 2018, and at Sidley Austin LLP from January 2011 to July 2012. David holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from New York University School of Law, obtained between 2006 and 2009, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History from William & Mary, completed in 2006.
