Alejandro A. Ortiz

Alejandro A. Ortiz is a legal professional with extensive experience in civil rights and labor law. Currently serving as Senior Counsel for the Racial Justice Program at the ACLU since October 2018, Alejandro leads efforts to challenge discriminatory laws and practices. Prior to this role, Alejandro worked at the National Labor Relations Board as a Senior Field Attorney, focusing on investigating and prosecuting unfair labor practices. Additional experience includes positions as a law clerk at the U.S. District Court and in various roles involving legal research and analysis in governmental and private sectors. Alejandro holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Virginia Tech.
