Chad Marlow is a distinguished Senior Policy Counsel at the ACLU, leading advocacy on privacy, surveillance, and technology issues. Recognized as a national expert, Chad has contributed to policy discussions through roles such as a member of the ELSI Advisory Group for the U.S. Department of Defense and the Federal School Safety Clearinghouse External Advisory Board. Previous positions include serving as a Senior Policy Advisor at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, President of The Public Advocacy Group LLC, and litigation associate at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. Chad holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science from Connecticut College.
