Kimberly Buddin

Senior Policy Counsel

Kimberly Buddin serves as Senior Policy Counsel at the ACLU, focusing on advancing civil liberties and civil rights through strategic legislative and administrative policy development at various government levels. Additionally, Kimberly co-owns Zeek’s Wings, providing financial and legal advisory services. As an Adjunct Professor at Wayne State University Law School, Kimberly instructs law students on First Amendment Law and practical skills. Appointed by Governor Whitmer, Kimberly also represents a Bar Association as a Commissioner of the Michigan Indigent Defense Commission and serves on the Board of Advisors for the Michigan Intelligence Operations Center for Homeland Security. Kimberly has held various legal roles, including Policy Counsel at the ACLU of Michigan, where legislative strategies were analyzed, and as a Pro-bono Attorney with the Michigan Immigrant Rights Center, assisting victims under protective laws. Kimberly holds a J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law and a B.A. from the University of Michigan.
