Mark Wier

Mark Wier is the Chief Development Officer at ACLU. Mark has over twenty years of experience in the non-profit sector, specializing in fundraising and corporate relations.

Wier began their career in 1991 as an expatriate services associate at Ernst & Young. Mark then moved to the Museum of the City of New York where they worked as the grants manager from 1995 to 1996. In 1996, they joined the New York Public Library as the associate manager of corporate relations and held this position until 1998. After a brief stint at Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts as the director of development, Wier joined The WNET Group in 2001 as the director of educational development. Mark remained with The WNET Group for five years before joining the International Rescue Committee in 2006 as the senior director of corporate and foundation relations. Wier remained with the IRC for six years before joining ACLU in 2012.

Mark Wier received a BA in Philosophy, Music from Binghamton University and an MA in Business from the Wisconsin School of Business.
