Monica Barnes

Monica Barnes currently serves as the Associate Director of Leadership Gifts at the ACLU, a position held since September 2018. Prior to this role, Monica was the Interim Finance Director at Cynthia For New York and worked from August 2013 to April 2018 as a Major Gifts Officer and Fundraising Consultant at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, successfully managing a portfolio of over 120 major donors. Monica also held significant roles in alumni relations and giving at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools and National Cathedral School, where accomplishments included increasing alumni participation and developing comprehensive engagement strategies. Previous experience includes donor relations at Georgetown University and public affairs coordination at The Aspen Institute. Monica earned a BA in History from Tufts University and attended National Cathedral School.
