Sarah Mehta

Sarah Mehta is a seasoned lawyer and advocate with over 15 years of experience in public interest law, particularly in international human rights, immigrants' rights, and criminal justice. Currently serving as Senior Policy Counsel on Border and Immigration at the ACLU, Sarah previously held the position of Deputy Director, Policy and Government Affairs on Immigration and has led various initiatives addressing civil rights issues. With a strong background in litigation and advocacy, they have contributed to significant federal and state cases, taught on topics such as human rights litigation, and worked as a researcher at Human Rights Watch.
