West Resendes is a staff attorney at the ACLU National Disability Rights Program, holding a diverse range of roles within the organization since 2017, including policy counsel and legal fellow. Prior experience includes serving as a law student intern at the Veterans Legal Services Clinic, where representation was provided to veterans in federal litigation, as well as law clerk and summer associate positions at the U.S. Senate Committee on Judiciary and Covington & Burling LLP, respectively. Resendes has contributed to public policy and advocacy from various angles, including research and case preparation in the ACLU, and has played a key role in advancing disability rights through extensive legal and community service. Education includes a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Harvard University.
