Simon Whittle

Simon Whittle has over 25 years of work experience in the software development and insurance industries. Simon currently holds the position of SVP Global Product Development at ACORD Solutions Group since October 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Product Development at the same company starting in April 2019.

Before joining ACORD Solutions Group, Simon worked at Ebix Europe as the Lead Solutions Architect from January 2015 to April 2019. Simon was responsible for leading the architectural solutions of the company.

From August 2013 to December 2014, Simon served as the Senior Business Analyst at Morning Data Ltd, contributing their expertise in analyzing business needs and requirements.

Simon also co-founded Anodas Software Limited in 1999 and played a crucial role as the Senior Product Architect and Programmer. Simon was involved in the development of a policy administration system for underwriters, MGAs, and Schemes brokers, which included an integrated broker portal and web-services integration.

Earlier in their career, Simon worked as an Analyst Programmer at Capita Insurance Services from May 1998 to June 1999, at Hiscox from December 1996 to April 1998, and at Delvestream Systems Ltd. as a Programmer from March 1994 to November 1996.

Simon Whittle attended Wrotham School from 1986 to 1991, but did not obtain a degree there. Simon then enrolled in West Kent College from 1991 to 1993, where they earned a BTEC National Diploma in Computer Studies, with a focus on Computer Programming, Technology, and Business. Simon Whittle also pursued further certifications in the insurance field. Simon obtained the Certificate in Insurance (Cert CII) in June 2014 from the Chartered Insurance Institute, along with qualifications in London market insurance principles and practices, insurance underwriting processes, and London market insurance essentials. In addition, Simon Whittle became an ACORD Certified Expert in various areas, such as Global Reinsurance and Large Commercial, in 2014 and 2016. Furthermore, they obtained an ACORD Certified Expert 2018 Global Reinsurance & Large Commercial certification from ACORD in January 2018.
