Ian Haycock

Ian is Chief Data Officer for Swiss Re Group and is responsible for Swiss Re’s Data & Analytics Strategy and leading Swiss Re’s ambition as a data empowered risk knowledge company. Ian joined Swiss Re in 2003 and has held CTO responsibilities for Swiss Re’s Asset Management (AM) and capital markets businesses, between 2012 and 2020 Ian was Chief Operating Officer for Swiss Re Asset Management responsible for its operating environment including life cycle management of all financial market transactions, data governance, and regulatory compliance and technology. Ian has 30 years of professional technology experience across the defense, nuclear and financial markets sectors. During that time he has held numerous management & technical positions including running IT departments and teams as well as having worked for many years as a developer, operating system & database administrator, network engineer.
