Tarah West

Tarah West is the current Principal of Engineering at Acorn Analytics. Tarah has previous experience working as a Technical Consultant at Babyscripts from June 2018 to March 2021 and as the Director of Technology at iBirth App from January 2018 to June 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Software Development Engineer at Yes Energy from April 2012 to January 2018.

West has experience in leading and developing software, as well as being a technical liaison during company acquisitions. Tarah is skilled in Angular, Node.js, Express, iOS, Android, Cordova builds, HTML5, JavaScript ES6, React/Redux, and Java REST API. As a Senior Software Development Engineer, they were responsible for producing rich visual displays of energy price, generation, transmission, congestion, and portfolio data.

Tarah has also been responsible for mentoring developers and interns on various software development aspects, as well as creating comprehensive onboarding and training plans for team members.

Tarah West has a BS in Computer Science from Colorado State University. Tarah also has certifications from Code School in ES2015: The Shape of JavaScript to Come and JavaScript Best Practices, and from the Scrum Alliance in Certified ScrumMaster.

Tarah West reports to Mike Zawitkowski, Managing Partner & CEO. Tarah West works with Abby McClelland - Principal, Data Solutions, Glenna Patton - Principal, CMO, and Rachel Brown - VP, Finance.
