Lawrence Pensack has worked in a variety of roles in the finance and operations space since 1990. Lawrence began their career as President of Olive Jar Studios, Inc., a film production company with studios in Los Angeles and Boston. In 2000, they became CFO and General Manager of The Stratos Group, LLC, a start-up specializing in marketing and sales of long-term care insurance products and services. From 2004 to 2010, they were CFO of the New England School of Acupuncture, where they were instrumental in professionalizing all finance and operations functions. From 2010 to 2015, they were President of Mobile Monitor Technologies, which designed and manufactured the world's first portable displays for iPhone, iPad, Macbook, PC, and Android smartphones and tablets. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a Contract CFO and/or COO for companies in diverse industries, providing financial, operational, administrative, and strategic planning services and insights to companies in transition. From 2016 to 2018, they were CFO of ExO Works, a consulting business focused on exponential technology and its resultant disruption. In 2018, they became CFO/COO of BLUBLK, LLC, an early stage high-end design firm, where they established all financial, administrative, and legal systems and documentation. Lastly, they are currently CFO of OpenExO, a high profile holding company founded by Salim Ismail.
Lawrence Pensack holds a BA in Economics from Williams College and an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business with a focus on Small Business, Marketing, Strategic Management, and Finance. Additionally, they obtained an ExO Advisor certification from OpenExO in July 2019.
