Marissa Miramontes

Marissa Miramontes is an Acoustic Test Engineer at Acoustiic, Inc., since January 2023. Previously, Marissa served as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Washington, where research focused on the effects of implanted medical devices on cardiovascular fluid dynamics using stereo particle image velocimetry. Marissa's experience also includes work as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the University of California, San Diego, developing software to non-invasively quantify blood flow in patients with cardiac devices, and as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Johnson & Johnson. Additional roles include Clinical Engineer Medical Observer at UC San Diego Health, leadership in the IDEA Student Center Summer Prep Program, and tutoring in math and science at Saddleback College. Marissa holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington and a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering from UC San Diego.
