Edmundo Perez has a diverse and extensive work experience. Edmundo started their career as an Electrical Engineer at the Nicaraguan Institute of Energy, where they conducted load flow studies and managed transmission lines between Nicaragua's and Costa Rica's power systems. Edmundo then worked as a Professor at Universidad Centroamericana, teaching various electrical engineering courses. Moving forward, Edmundo became the Technical Director at Nicalit S.A., where they managed a factory and implemented maintenance programs to improve productivity. Edmundo then worked as an Acting Chief Engineer at Hotel Intercontinental, implementing and overseeing preventive maintenance programs. Additionally, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at Miami Technical College and served as a Member of the Historic Preservation Board at Miami Dade County. Most recently, Edmundo held engineering positions at the Biltmore Hotel and Acqualina Resort and Spa, where they served as the Director of Engineering and later as the Executive Director of Engineering for the Acqualina Brand, respectively.

Edmundo Perez attended the Universidad Centroamericana (UCA) from 1976-1981, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Edmundo also attended the Universidad Centroamericana, Managua during the same time period, where they earned another Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. In 1983, Edmundo returned to Universidad Centroamericana, Managua to pursue a field of study as a Projects Analyst, but it is unclear if they completed a degree in this field.
