Darren Learmonth

Darren Learmonth has over 20 years of work experience in various technology leadership roles. Darren is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at ACRE, a position they have held since December 2022. Before joining ACRE, Darren worked at Silicon Labs as a Distinguished Engineer from November 2021 to December 2022. Prior to that, they were the SVP and Chief Technology Officer at Nortek Security & Control from January 2020 to November 2021. Darren also held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Assa Abloy Smart Residential from December 2018 to January 2020, where they led the consolidation of technology groups and implemented a unified platform strategy for product development. Earlier in their career, Darren served in various technology leadership roles at HID Global, Thales, EADS, QNX Software Systems, Kvaerner, and Soil Machine Dynamics Ltd. Darren'sexperience spans across a wide range of industries and they have demonstrated expertise in innovation, technology strategy, and product development.

Darren Learmonth completed their education at Newcastle University from 1988 to 1993, earning a Bachelor's degree (BEng) in Microelectronic and Software Engineering. In addition, they obtained a certification in Strategic Thinking from LinkedIn in April 2019.
