Acro Aircraft Seating Ltd
Acro Aircraft Seating is a leading manufacturer of passenger seats for commercial airlines around the world. Founded in 2006, the business speedily built a reputation for creating contemporary seating that is robust, lightweight and easily maintainable whilst offering exceptional passenger comfort and living space. A fresh approach to problem-solving and short lead times cemented our reputation as a stand-out player in the global marketplace. The acquisition of Acro, in 2017, by the specialist seating manufacturer Tiancheng Controls provided a platform for further international growth. In late 2020 we relocated to a new 100,000 sq ft headquarters at Crick in Northamptonshire, increasing and significantly broadening design, development and testing facilities and enhancing rapid prototyping capabilities. The move also significantly added a boost to our capacity and enabled us to increase our EASA Part 145 area. Acro has a second production facility in Shanghai. The site is designed to supply the Asian civil aviation market with Acro’s innovative seating products and initially used to house vertically integrated manufacturing capability. Reflecting our global reach, Acro currently has Customer Support Operations in China and the USA, as well as the UK. Since 2017 Acro has been an Airbus approved linefit supplier and our strong, collaborative relationship continues to grow. Acro also has considerable experience supporting Boeing customers and we have a highly successful strategic partnership with SAAB and close, productive associations with Fokker and ATR. We regularly demonstrate our willingness, and capacity, to take on both lower and higher volume programmes and to collaborate with OEMs to develop bespoke seating for their unique airframes. That focus on establishing and nurturing effective, mutually beneficial partnerships is equally evidenced in our close customer relationships, each of which is underpinned by exceptional creative collaboration.
