Sarath Kumar

Sarath Kumar has over 27 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Sarath is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at ACT FIBERNET since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Tejas Networks for 14 years, starting as the Vice President of Product Management & Engineering and later becoming the Senior Vice President of Product Management. Before that, Sarath worked at Bell Labs Lucent Technologies as a Member of Technical Staff, where they contributed to the performance analysis of wireless data networks and systems.

Sarath Kumar's education history begins with their high school education at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, where they completed their +2 degree from 1982 to 1984. Sarath then pursued their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, from 1984 to 1988. Following this, they enrolled at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and completed their Master of Technology (MTech) in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from 1988 to 1990. Lastly, they obtained their Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, where they studied from 1990 to 1993.
