Veerle De Smedt possesses extensive experience in engineering and automation, currently serving as a Functional Analyst MES/PLC and Automation Engineer at Actemium Belgium since June 2017. Previously, Veerle worked as a Business Process Engineer at Colruyt Group, where responsibilities included designing and mapping processes from January 2016 to May 2017. Earlier roles include Check-in Agent at Swissport, Technical Assistant at Pari Mutuel Hippodrome, and a position as a Cashier at Lidl Belgium & Luxemburg GmbH. Veerle holds a Master of Engineering in Bio-engineering with a focus on environmental technology and a Bachelor of Engineering in the same field, both from Ghent University, along with a diploma in Mathematics-Sciences from Sint-Godelieve College Gistel.
