Derek T. Comingore

Derek Comingore, MBA, is an experienced sales engineering professional with a robust background in leading teams and building sales engineering functions across several technology companies. Currently serving as a Global Partner Sales Engineer for Actian since June 2022, Derek focuses on global partner sales engineering initiatives, including support for various partner types and the development of demo libraries and architectural standards. Previous roles include Head of Presales at DataChat Inc., where Derek led a seed sales engineering team, and Director of Sales Engineering at Yugabyte, which involved scaling the team and developing new territories. Derek's earlier experience includes senior management roles at VMware, where significant contributions were made to go-to-market strategies and team management. Additionally, Derek founded and sold B.I. Voyage and held various data engineering roles in the early career. Academically, Derek holds an MBA in Business Analytics from Ohio University and a BS in Management of Information Technology from Park University, along with an AAS in Information Technology from the University of North Dakota.
