James McClymonds

James McClymonds has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. James is currently working at Actian as the Vice President of Platform Engineering & Operations since April 2023. James previously held the position of Senior Director of Cloud Operations at Actian from December 2021 to April 2023.

Before joining Actian, they worked as an Adjunct Faculty at Purdue University Global's School of Business and Information Technology from February 2019 to August 2023.

James also has experience working at Forcepoint as the Director of Site Reliability Engineering from October 2019 to January 2022.

Prior to that, they founded Splitcode and served as its CTO and Technical Founder from May 2017 to December 2018.

James McClymonds began their career at Oracle in various roles. James served as the Director of Cloud Operations from April 2015 to April 2017. James also worked as a Senior Manager from January 2011 to April 2015 and as a Principal Systems Consultant from March 2006 to December 2010.

James McClymonds has a Master's Degree in Information Technology with a concentration in Information Security and Assurance from Purdue Global. James is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Information Technology in Information Assurance and Cybersecurity from Capella University. Additionally, they hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Computer Science from the University of Phoenix. James also has certifications including CompTIA Cloud Essentials+, AWS Academy Accredited Educator, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, and Scrum Master Certified (SMC).
