Vasilis Sotiris

Vasilis Sotiris, PhD, is a seasoned data science leader currently serving as the Head of Data Science at Actifai since September 2024. Before this role, Vasilis was the Head of Data Science at 777 Partners, where responsibilities included developing an AI-driven underwriting strategy and building machine learning pipelines. Prior experience includes serving as Executive Director at MUFG Investor Services, focusing on creating actionable data strategies, and leading data science teams and projects across various industries at Cerebri AI and Capital One. Vasilis has also held positions in financial risk management at KPMG and Barclays, and has a solid academic foundation with a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Maryland, an MS in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Columbia University, and a BS in Aerospace Engineering from Rutgers University.
