Miriam León has had a varied career since 1998. Miriam started as a Network Administrator and Administrative Duties for Gesmet, S.L. in 1998. In 2000, they worked as an Image Processing Researcher for Fraunhofer IGD. In 2001, they were a Network Administrator and Office Automation Support for Ivm Technical Consultans Barcelona SA. From 2002-2007, they were a PhD student and Image Processing Research Engineer at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where they conducted research in the field of text detection in still and video sequences. In 2013, they joined Catchoom as a R+D Engineer, where they worked to improve recognition of printed media pages using Catchoom Recognition Engine (CRE). From 2015-2017, they were Part-time faculty at International Technological University (ITU), teaching Objected Oriented Programming using C++ and Linux. Since 2020, they have been a Builder-Maker (JSON Developer) at actionaly.
Miriam León has an education history that spans from 1993 to 2016. Miriam obtained a Telecommunication Engineer degree from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 1999. Miriam then completed an ERASMUS program at Technische Universität Darmstadt in 2000, focusing on Image Processing- Diplom. In 2005, they obtained a Master of Research (DEA) degree from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Signal Processing and Communications, as well as a Secondary School Teacher Training Certificate (CAP) from Institut de ciencies de l'educacio (UPC) in Technology and Science. In 2016, they obtained a Machine Learning certification from Coursera Course Certificates.
