Charlie Beurskens has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Charlie started their career as an Architectural Design Intern at Gerber Berend Design Build, where they designed a hypothetical house and collaborated with others to develop a complete model. Charlie then interned at the Steamboat Springs High School MakerSpace, where they led 3D printing workshops and maintained printers.

In 2018, Charlie worked as a Project Engineering Co-op at Hasbro, where they served as the lead engineer for Transformers Rescue Bots products and collaborated with a global team to solve time-sensitive issues. Charlie also reviewed CAD and production samples for defects.

Following that, Charlie worked at Brightside Solar Inc. as an Apprentice, researching net metering laws and regulations and identifying potential homes for solar installations. Charlie also analyzed solar incentives and summarized them for customers.

In 2019, Charlie joined KGS Buildings as a Building Analyst and Process Improvement Co-op. Charlie analyzed HVAC diagrams, mapped client data to proprietary software, and implemented corrective changes to improve analytic results.

Currently, Charlie is employed at Activ Surgical. Charlie has held various roles, including Mechanical Engineer Co-op, Mechanical Engineer, and Senior Mechanical Engineer. In these positions, they designed electromechanical devices, led a novel imaging technology R&D project, and developed laser safety mechanisms based on competitor breakdown analysis and IP research. Charlie is currently a Clinical Sales Associate at Activ Surgical.

Charlie Beurskens completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering at Northeastern University from 2016 to 2020. They also pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Engineering Management at Northeastern University from 2016 to 2020. In addition, Charlie obtained a Certificate of Engineering Leadership from The Gordon Institute of Engineering Leadership at Northeastern University in 2019. Charlie also holds additional certifications, including a Certificate of Undergraduate Engineering Leadership from The Gordon Institute of Engineering Leadership at Northeastern University, obtained in July 2019, and an Associate in Mechanical Design from Dassault Systèmes, obtained in April 2019.
