Marie Stoner

Chief Science Officer at Activate Brain & Body

Marie Stoner has been in the field of psychology for over 40 years. Marie began their career in 1979 as a Clinical Psychologist in Private Practice, focusing on the mind/body connection. In 2005, they became a Consultant at the Myrna Brind Center for Integrative Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. In 2010, they co-founded Act!vate Brain & Body Inc. and served as the Director of Programming. Additionally, they have held various roles as an Educator and Lecturer since 1971, including a position in the Psychology Training Section of Philadelphia State Hospital (1971-1974), Adjunct Professor in a Psy.D. program (1998-2000), and on-going training of applicants for biofeedback certification. Marie has also given numerous professional and public speaking engagements on the topics of stress and biofeedback.

Marie Stoner obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Gettysburg College between 1966 and 1970. Marie then went on to earn their Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from Boston University in 1975. In 1979, they were licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Pennsylvania. Additionally, they have received a Board Certified in Biofeedback and Neurofeedback, Senior Fellow Designation from the BCIA.
