Angela Duarte

Director of Client Services at Activate

Angela Duarte has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Angela started their career as an Advertising Executive at The Spokesman-Review in 1989 and worked there until 1994. Angela then moved on to Sound Publishing where they served as an Advertising Manager from 1994 to 1995. Angela then joined The Oswego Company as a National Account Manager from 1995 to 1998.

In 1998, Angela joined UBM Tech where they held various roles. Angela started as a National Sales Manager, leading a team of account executives and overseeing advertising and sponsorships for catalogs and magazines. Angela then transitioned to the role of Director, Client Marketing Services, where they directed the execution of online integrated custom marketing programs for strategic accounts, including IBM. Angela also served as a National Account Manager, managing account activities and developing custom magazine programs during their time at UBM Tech. Angela held these positions until 2015.

Following their tenure at UBM Tech, Angela joined Activate as the Director of Client Services in 2015. At Activate, they were responsible for the strategy, execution, and delivery of demand generation programs for strategic accounts, such as IBM.

Throughout their career, Angela has demonstrated strong leadership skills, managed large budgets, and provided strategic support and services to top tier clients. Angela has also been involved in the development of efficient processes and the execution of various custom marketing programs.

Angela Duarte obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communications/Advertising/Marketing from Washington State University, where they studied from 1986 to 1989.
