Lia Gass Rodriguez M.D. Faap

Lia Gass Rodriguez, MD FAAP has an extensive work experience history. Lia is currently the Chief Medical Officer at ActiveHealth, where they work alongside a multidisciplinary team to promote clinical excellence and provide actionable health information to members. Prior to this role, they held positions at Aetna, a CVS Health Company, including Senior Medical Director of Clinical Quality, where they provided strategic guidance for clinical quality programs. Lia also served as the Medical Director for Clinical Quality and Medical Management at Aetna. Before joining Aetna, they were the Medical Director of Texas Children's Health Plan at Texas Children's Hospital, overseeing clinical and operations aspects of the Utilization Management program. Additionally, they served as the Medical Director of Pediatrics at Legacy Community Health Services, where they oversaw the department's operations, expansion, and implementation of programs. Lia started their career at CHRISTUS Health as a Pediatric Associate Physician providing care to pediatric patients. Lia also co-founded Cordero, Perez-Silva & Rodriguez MD PA, a private group pediatric practice in Miami. Dr. Rodriguez completed their Pediatric Residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Lia Gass Rodriguez, MD FAAP has a strong educational background in the field of medicine. Lia first obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2000. Lia then went on to attend the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in 2004.

Prior to their college education, Lia Gass Rodriguez attended Staples High School from 1995 to 1996, and before that, they attended Commonwealth High School from 1992 to 1996.

In addition to their formal education, Lia Gass Rodriguez has obtained several certifications related to their field. Lia became a Board Certified Pediatrician through the American Board of Pediatrics in October 2007. Lia also obtained their Medical Doctor degree from the Florida Board of Medicine in May 2007 and from the Texas Medical Board in December 2008. Lia Gass Rodriguez has further expanded their expertise by completing the COLA Lab Director Program from COLA Inc. in May 2010 and the Building Business Acumen certification from Acumen Learning in May 2022.
