Kelly Knaga

Kelly Knaga has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Kelly is currently working as a Design Manager at ActiveCampaign since January 2022. Prior to that, they had their own company called Kelly Knaga, LLC, where they served as a Creative Director and Illustrator since 2002. Kelly co-founded the Arts + Action Community Lab in 2020, focusing on public arts programming and community engagement.

Kelly has also worked as a Senior Lecturer and Director of the Design Program at Indiana University Northwest from 2013 to 2022, where they developed new curriculum and oversaw various responsibilities. Kelly was the Executive Director and Director of Communications at AIGA Chicago from 2013 to 2022, championing opportunities for designers and promoting accessible education. Additionally, they served as the Director of Operations at Firebelly Design from 2018 to 2020.

Before these roles, Kelly worked as the Programming and Content Director at The Secret Handshake, a resource for student designers and young creatives specializing in conferences and events. Kelly gained teaching experience at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the International Academy of Design and Technology. Kelly began their career as a Graphic Designer at Union Rescue Mission, supporting the needs of the homeless population.
