Alvaro Sarmiento

Alvaro Sarmiento has worked in a variety of roles in the entertainment, marketing and technology industries since 1997. Alvaro began their career as a freelance consultant for marketing in the cultural sector. Alvaro then moved on to Warner Brothers as a Technical Director, where they managed laboratories, studios, subtitling, and logistics. In 1997, they joined SOGEPAQ as a Technical Director, where they had similar duties. In 2008, they became the Director of Audience Development at Mecenartis. In 2009, they took on the role of Director at BravoMail, a eMarketing solution for the culture, leisure, and entertainment industries. Alvaro also provided consulting services in the same field. In 2011, they joined PatronBase as a Director, where they managed subscription services, gift cards, loyalty points, discount codes, social media integration, space rental, and an online store. Finally, in 2021, they became the Director of Activity Stream Spain, a cloud-based operations intelligence service platform that uses artificial intelligence to improve services and operations.

Alvaro Sarmiento attended Brooklyn College from 1995 to 1997 where they earned their MFA in Performing Arts Management.
