Ilya Alexandrov

Director of R&D, Co-founder at ActivSignal

Ilya Alexandrov has had a varied work experience since 2002. Ilya began as a Graduate Student at the Cardiology Research Center in Moscow, where they researched Prion and Amyloid Biology and developed a new method of electrophoretic analysis of prion/amyloid protein aggregates. From 2007 to 2011, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, where they studied an mRNA binding protein CPEB1 and its implications in Insulin resistance and Diabetes in mouse and cell models. From 2011 to 2014, they were the Director of R&D and a Senior Scientist at Biomirex. Finally, from 2014 to the present, they have been Director of R&D and Co-founder at ActivSignal, where they have worked on Proteomics, Signaling Pathway profiling, Protein-Protein interaction, and complex ID.

Ilya Alexandrov began their educational journey in 1997, when they enrolled at Moscow State University to pursue a Master's degree in Biochemistry. Ilya graduated in 2002 and subsequently enrolled at the Cardiology Research Center to pursue a PhD in Molecular Biology, which they completed in 2007.
