Kent Sikstrom

Kent Sikstrom is the Director of Public Affairs & Policy at ACTRA National, where they lead government relations and advocacy initiatives to advance the rights of professional performers across Canada. With extensive experience in public affairs, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communications, Kent has previously held roles at Kijiji Canada, including Operations Manager and Community Relations Manager, where they enhanced customer support operations and strengthened community partnerships. Kent began their career as an English Second Language Teacher and holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and French Studies from Glendon Campus of York University. Their work is characterized by a commitment to collaboration, integrity, and advancing the creative voices in the cultural sector.
