Stephen Cairns has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Their most recent role is as the Head of Product & Innovation at ActronAir since September 2020. Before that, they worked at Annandale Consulting as the Principal\\ Custom Designed Solutions from February 2020 to August 2021.

From 2015 to 2020, Stephen served as the Director of Engineering Operations at Aristocrat. Prior to that, they worked at Sunbeam Australia as the Product Improvement & Quality Manager from July 2013 to September 2015. Stephen also held the role of Product Engineering Operations & Quality Manager at Sampford IXL from May 2010 to July 2013.

Earlier in their career, Stephen worked as a Lead Project Manager at PAC Consulting from October 2009 to May 2010. Stephen also served as the Manager Strategic Projects at Alex Fraser Recycling from August 2008 to August 2009, where they led the development and implementation of new capital projects and deployment of lean business systems.

Stephen's experience also includes a significant tenure at Venture Industries, where they held the role of Group Manager Technology & Program Management from November 1999 to August 2008. In this role, they managed the design, development, and deployment of vehicle interior and exterior systems teams and gained accreditation to ISO 9000 & Ford Q1.

Stephen's early career saw him as the Technical & Operations Manager at BTR from January 1992 to October 1999. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in product and innovation, engineering operations, project management, and strategic planning.

Stephen Cairns has a diverse education history. Stephen obtained an HNC in Aero Engineering from Rolls Royce between 1976 and 1981. From 1983 to 1985, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Engineering at Stowe College Glasgow. Following this, between 1989 and 1990, they studied Quality Management & Statistics and earned a Graduate Diploma from Swinburne University of Technology. Lastly, from 1997 to 1999, Stephen attended Mt Eliza Business School and completed an MBA degree specializing in Innovation Management and Operations.
